IT'S THE END of the month again, so let's close the book on what the Chronicle and other newspapers said and look at how the newspapers said it. I was lazy about collecting errors, so we're light in August.
ON FRIDAY, MARK SHIELDS, liberal analyst on PBS Newshour, slandered Glenn Beck's upcoming D.C. Honor Rally with a recitation of fears straight from the left's Imaginarium of Very Horrible Things.
But I think it will be whether, in fact, there will be signs, whether there will be buttons, whether there will be the disparaging and sometimes racially charged placards that have shown up at other Tea Party events. I hope that is not the case. They are trying to prevent it. They have said there will be no guns there, which is reassuring. That's -- that -- so -- and would be in violation of Washington, D.C., gun laws anyway. . . .
