That us an amazing 61 percent over last year, says Forbes -- part of a league-wide jump fueled by "expanded national media deals with Walt Disney (ESPN/ABC) and Time Warner (TNT) that will begin with the 2016-17 season and are worth nearly three times the current deals."
The Rockets rank eighth in value, according to Forbes.
The most valuable franchises are listed as the Los Angeles Lakers ($2.6 billion), New York Knicks ($2.5 billion), and Chicago Bulls ($2.0 billion), followed by the Celtics, Clippers, Nets, Warriors, and Rockets.
At the bottom of the list are the Milwaukee Bucks ($600 million), Minnesota Timberwolves ($625 million), and New Orleans Pelicans ($650).
The average, Forbes says, is $1.1 billion.
