THAT HILLARY DIANE RODHAM Clinton is still ahead of Donald John Trump.

For starters, she leads by 3 at Real Clear Politics, "General Election: Trump vs. Clinton" -- 47-44.  

Mr. Trump has cut the lead to 1 point four different times since the end of August, and even forced a tie one day, but he has never been able to close the deal.

Ms. Clinton, by contrast, led by 7 in early August, but could not hold that lead.

Did the debate change the numbers?
