AUGUST 13, Reason No. 3: Trump is better for public education

PUBLIC ELEMENTARY and secondary education should not be an issue in this or any other presidential election. In theory, our Constitution limits the the federal government to a list of enumerated powers, such as  providing for the common defense, borrowing money, regulating commerce with foreign nations, and so on. Public education is not on that list. The proper way to put it there would have been to amend the Constitution. Instead, President James Earle Carter, Jr., and his Democratic Congress simply created it out of thin air and set it into motion in early 1980. Now it's a done deal. Nobody has the courage to shut it down.

That being said, President Trump will do a  better job of running it than Mr. Biden. How do I  know?

AUGUST 7, 2020 / Reason No. 1 to vote against Biden, for Trump: Biden suffers serious cognitive decline

IN THE FACE of considerable evidence to the contrary, Mr. Biden's supporters insist he is not suffering cognitive decline. What do you think? 

If you know his mind is feeble but vote for him anyway, why are you willing to do that? Do you hate Mr. Trump that intensely? Can America prosper with a president who is not in full possession of his faculties? Is it okay for the nation to be led by less-than-competent president? How will that work?

There is an argument to be had, though not here and not today, that Mr. Trump has cognitive issues of his own. Fair enough. You make that case. I say Mr. Trump's mind is considerably sounder than Mr. Biden's. The presidential debates, if they ever occur, will prove the point to fair-minded viewers.

Here is a short list of Mr. Biden's verbal gaffes. I will list more as time permits. The inventory grows almost every time he speaks.
